      A once great company now in free fall

      SAS was once the unchallenged leader in their field; the quality of life (if you happened to have been fortunate enough to have worked in Cary) was amazing

      Cons

      The company's decline is accelerating. Where once SAS enjoyed an unchallenged landscape into which to sell its very expensive yet very excellent analytics-centric solutions, today there are myriad competitors selling equally fine solutions at a fraction of the license costs.

      It's hard to think of any, I'm afraid

      Cons

      The product is no longer competitive. Nobody wants to buy it. Customers only want to reduce their use of SAS. The culture has become toxic. The plans to IPO seem like a sham. All the good leaders have left. Those who remain are just cruising towards retirement or too lazy or incompetent to find a better job.
