Working 12h days 5 days in a row on minimal rest. Very badly paid south base pay of about 8.5/9k a year

Pros

Slick operation, Colleagues, 5/4 roster, Annual Leave, Private Healthcare, Pension, Part time available, especially during winter. Great if you like to ski. Crew control helpful for swaps ect. Ac generally new and have good maint facilities. Quick upgrade, training high standard, Limited overnights so sleep at home. Salary before recent 20 percent cut was good when compared with other locos.

Cons

lots of 4 sector days, can be tiring. Management.Although have improved in last 5 years. Bases can and have closed with little notice and staff are forced to move with minimal support sometimes to another country.
