Pros

Great people, which have all mostly left or have been laid off. Those left are waiting for a farewell package

Cons

People are expendable here. If you are hired here, count on your position only lasting 6-12 months as everything is being outsourced, no matter what they might say. It's really in to say how much empathy a company has. Saying something isn't the same as being something. There is nothing special about this place, no matter how much kool-aid Andy Y pushes. This is not a place to have an opinion. Management squashes all opinions that are not direct kiss up comments or that may be contrary to theirs.

Rocket is managed by ego

Pros

Rank staff and even lower-level managers are great people, often passionate about their jobs. The company paid medical.

Cons

There is no strategy. Period. Pick a functional area. None. The CEO is in bed with IBM and will do anything to maintain that relationship, even as other areas of the company go without investment and wither into nothing. But those are the areas that are to blame for the sinking "organic" growth numbers. Figure it out. Maybe try innovating something new. Ideas like file sharing and faceted search are "10 years ago." Nothing to see here. Stop with the ridiculous notions of implementing multiple CRMs to allow the petulent sales org to "choose" which one they'd like to use... likely none at all. Stop spending millions of silly leadership and kickoff events that result in nothing. Stop ignoring internal experts who could implement key "transformative" projects in short time and short money in favor of the hubris-driven DIY mentality that has driven costs up 10x. Hire a sales leader who actually OWNS the numbers. I can't get over how clueless senior management is... no one is accountable to numbers, no one has ideas that challenges the status quo. Stop letting the self-appointed-expert-on-everything-CEO micromanage every single corporate function. Everyone drives toward EBITDA margin with the exception of CEO pet projects. In that case, money is no object. And for the love of Bob, stop preaching those insipid company values. We get it. But we have NOT ONCE really shown what those mean. You can't run an org on those without putting in supporting systems and resources. In fact, to see Rocket grow (or maybe just survive), maybe it's time for Andy Youniss to step aside.

Where is the love?

Pros

Work from home is the only thing worth noting.

Cons

Management preach love and empathy as core values but does not really put it into action. Culture is toxic. Acquisitions are happening too fast without proper integration. Communication to employees are lacking and employees are made to feel they are overstepping when they bring forward suggestions for change. Management talk a big talk, but when they are wanting to implement something, they don't figure out the finer details, leaving employees super frustrated with a lot of questions.
