Pros

I'm working on a very flexible account currently, we have working from home opportunities and a massive focus on a work life balance. I've worked in recruitment with other large companies that haven't provided that balance. My personal experience has been fantastic so far. From speaking to a couple of people on other teams I can see the approach to the work life balance differs but overall the support network is available across the board. The environment feels a lot less hierarchical versus other companies, the senior managers will talk to you the same as they would anyone else. Constant opportunities for progression and professional development.

Cons

The hours are long, (not as long as agency, but long regardless). There is a bit of a separation between teams since we're all locked into rooms so not much opportunity to connect with other people outside of your team.

Hi, and thanks for your feedback. It's great to hear you're having a fantastic experience so far, and that you've been able to arrange the work-life balance that works for you. It's also very encouraging that you're able to talk with your senior managers in an open and honest way. I feel that's hugely important for people's experience at work, and for enabling the development opportunities that help shape our careers. Very encouraging, and good to hear - thank you! With regards to teams being separated, I'm afraid that's inevitable given the sensitive nature of some of the work done for our clients. It's a requirement we're not going to be able to change anytime soon, although we may be able to explore how we can help people interact in the communal areas. If you have any ideas about how we could facilitate that, please do email or call me. Many thanks, Indy Lachhar (Group Head of Talent Development).

Cons

Long hours, but with a flexible manager this is not a big issue.
