Pros

Good products, nice concept, nice shops, good philosophy, good customer service training.

Cons

Bad Management, favoritism, no option for promotion, bad internal communication, the company doesn't know how to keep good staff working for them.

Pros

Nothing comes to mind. There are no pros.

Cons

This is one of the worst companies I've ever worked for. They are so disorganized and messy with everything they do. The business is failing and it is a direct reflection of the inexperienced, trash corporate team.

Pros

- The colleagues: even though I have been in three different teams due to the continuous rotation of people because of a company that does not take care of its employees, I have been lucky to meet some incredible people who I can nowadays call friends. They were the only good thing about going to work. - You can use the sample perfumes in the shop and smell good for a while, as they don't last long...

Cons

- Management: terrible. They never or almost never go to the shop, they stay in the office drinking coffee and eating candy until they are fed up, until it's time to go home. They don't stand up for us when we have to deal with rude customers who insult us and/or shout at us. They only know how to give orders and talk to us about numbers, objectives and productivity, because that's all they care about. Beware of calling sick, because they will probably make you feel like the worst person in the world and they won't believe you. - Mental health: they don't know what it is. They claim to be a brand that looks for your wellbeing but when you talk to them about anxiety and panic attacks they tell you to take a paracetamol, a cup of tea, five minutes break, and back to work. - The salary: it is probably one of the worst retail salaries in the whole of Amsterdam. It's a shame when you compare the amount of work you have to do and the level of intensity in that shop, to what you get at the end of the month. And be careful if you have a 0 hour contract, because even if you work 40 hours a week, you are not entitled to the bonus. - Transport: If you don't live in Amsterdam, it's not worth working at H0use of Rituals because you lose more than you earn, the company covers a ridiculous amount per kilometre. - Incentives: these are often used products (testers from the shop), or even expired products. Products with engraved names and broken items. That's when you realise that despite being a company with a lot of money, they do not care about the people who make possible that the shop is open every day, but okay. - Standards of performance: this is ridiculous. Already the uniform is very very very ugly, but on top of that they make you (or at least they try to) wear perfect nails (short and if possible painted, but not in a very bright color), your face with makeup and your hair always tied up. The tattoos have to be small, otherwise you have to cover them with a long-sleeved shirt even if you are dying of heat, because again, they don't care about you. You also have to be careful how many earrings you wear and no piercings. But hey!, they defend that everyone shows themselves as they are, and they support all styles, inclusivity and diversity hahaha (no). In general, this company expects you to be an emotionless robot. That you only care about the damn objectives of the company and that you speak well of the brand. Get along with your colleagues but don't talk to them because the customer always comes first, even if he or she treats you badly. For those who want to work at Rituals, just tell you that management themselves want to leave this job, so you can see how rotten and toxic this house is.
