      Pros

      Reasonable benefits package, although declining through the years. 401K match was reinstated after a 1-year hiatus. Some overall company stability since it is Japanese-owned and they can be slow to make decisions.

      Cons

      Acquisition of IKON Office Solutions is really an IKON takeover of Ricoh. No regard for Ricoh employees. Limited leadership direction. Employees have to do things in several different ways to support both the Ricoh and IKON management teams, which is a huge waste of time.

      Pros

      Senior Management is held accountable for results - this isn't a place where underlings pay for poor decisions by Senior Management. Equitable distribution of pay - the leaders can only make a certain multiple of the lowest paid employee (Japanese style). We don't have people getting really rich while the company is losing money. A very stable company financially, through conservative financial management.

      Cons

      There are some very "tenured people" in middle and upper management that don't really get what it is the company is trying to become. It is not unusual for an entire department to be staffed with people who have been with Ricoh (or Lanier, or Savin) for over 30 years. Experience is good, but you will never get fresh ideas out of a group made up solely of "lifers".
