Pros

The role offers a great deal of autonomy and a broad scope of work, which is excellent for my development. The pace is fast, but in a good way—it keeps things interesting and dynamic. My colleagues are top-tier, and their high standards and "get it done" attitude create a productive environment. It's rewarding to see that the business genuinely listens to risk colleagues to ensure things are done correctly, and this focus is definitely improving. The work itself is challenging, and I've been exposed to a much wider range of tasks than I initially expected, which has aided my growth. The benefits are also strong; the experience is valuable for my long-term career goals, and the equity bonus is a great incentive.

Cons

The interview process was quite long, but it was worth it. Similarly, the probation period can feel daunting at first, but it's manageable once you get into the swing of things. My biggest frustration has been getting access to different data sources and dashboards.

Pros

- Flexibility: WFH or WFO is the employee's choice - Career growth: Opportunities to fast-track promotions and progressions are transparent and predictable, each person can work for it - Compensation: Global compensation package is attractive versus competitors, including PTO allowance - Steep learning curve: It's an ever expanding business, so new things come up all the time. It's great to take and get exposure to new topics and boost the learning curve beyond our immediate scope of responsibilities - Smart colleagues: People are generally smart and sharp. They bring relevant experience from past employers and intuitive thinking. - Data-driven: Strong risk and business culture leads management to be highly data-driven and to prioritise automated long-term solutions.

Cons

- Hours can be long depending on the season - Workload is not always predictable given it's highly project-based, so flexibility is required to accommodate multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities across teams - Certain benefits are not up to the peers benchmark (e.g. no gympass or low cost credit/mortgages) - Bonus nominal is largely dependent on the value of stock options (may be great for some but not for all), particularly for more senior roles
