Hi! Thank you for your review! Revolut cultivate a professional and supportive work environment that allows everyone to be successful. If this isn't your experience, please consider speaking up through our internal channels so we can take a closer look at your concerns. In terms of compensation, our team works hard to ensure salary & benefits competitiveness across markets, although we're obviously in a very competitive market. We regularly assess and compare our people's pay to adjust it to the current benchmark. We truly want everyone to succeed and to enjoy their working life. If you are struggling with balance we'd recommend having an open chat with your line manager to see what can be improved. We wish you well.

Pros

Company is constantly innovating, has lots of internal opportunities for advancement, if you show you can do the work they will always give you an opportunity. The people are great, and if you like a challenge focusing on hyper-growth, you'll be happy to join. Working from people all around the globe is a very interesting environment. Work tools are top notch, compensation is above average.

Cons

A hyper-growth environment is not for everyone, and can be very chaotic. Revolut goes all in with the "figure it out, get it done" mentality, and some people may feel a little lost or overwhelmed. There is not enough investment in training or in learning new skills, unless you do it by yourself on your own time and out of your own pocket. To say that the company is extremely results-oriented is an understatement, so you need to be able to show your work, manage expectations, negotiate KPIs and keep exchanging feedback with peers and management. This is not to say that the environment is toxic, it's just that with so many moving parts the ability to give/receive feedback, detect future risks/issues, and manage expectations is key to you balancing your role.

Pros

Average paycheck, there are smart people

Cons

Goals are unclear and you can get fired for not reaching it. HR processes are just broken. It took 1.5 years to get a visa, every document request is jumping around tickets which have no guardrails to get something smoothly. A lot of friction in bureaucracy and no one knows anything. They got me the cheapest macbook with 16gb of ram which is a joke these days and especially with the state of internal software. Internal software is really slow, has a lot of tech debt, a lot of friction to do anything. No documentation, code is just spaghetti. To get your work done you'll depent on external teams which may not have desire helping you if you don't have common goals. Ignoring people in slack is a very usual thing. You have to find leverage to make people do what you need. You will have spying software on your laptop which will slow down everything and reduce battery life. You'll will also be forced to install corporate software on your personal smartphone. Paycheck is fine if you could work just working hours but when people work during weekends it seems like pay per hour is way below than market can offer you. Never let yourself depend on visa with this company, there is no job security no matter how hard you try if you were not lucky enough to get good project. In my last team 4 engineers were let go Unfortunately this was my worst career decision and it feels like I just lost a lot of time, didn't earn enough money and burned out.
