Pros

Good working environment (safety and security). Jose Maria Alcazar was an excellent HR Manager

Cons

Work/Life balance terrible. Senior Managers in my country were all foreigners and had a very low belief in the locals ability to perform, outside of actual exploration. The Country President at the time was particularly bad.

Pros

-Good work life balance -Great leadership and people in Canada

Cons

-Autocratic leadership from head office, no decisions made at business unit level -everything is completely centralized and local complexities are rarely considered. -Culture is terrible, employees and managers leaving constantly seeking greener pastures, Repsol conducts multiple culture surveys but does little to improve it. -Slow degredation of total rewards package. They remove benefits slowly, chipping away at value of package. Often no salary increases globally, they dont follow thier own progression model in regards to development and salary increase -Little opportunity for career development in Canada, -Reactive business, plans change constantly, no continuous improvement cycle -Layoffs and organizational change every year (10% - 30% of staff in Canada each year).

Pros

A healthy salary and excellent benefits. A good work life balance and a fun team. My immediate manager was excellent.

Cons

The company is very large and very set in their ways. Management is not very open about how decisions get made. A good place to work if your style is to just do your job and don't ask questions. Do not expect to change the world while working here but it's a good place to gain experience.

Pros

1) Special treatment to Spaniard or Spanish speakers. 2) Award employee with higher position without pay increase.

Cons

1) Business unit goals are beyond expectation but no special recognition / bonuses other than "Thank you" word which means nothing. 2) Staff being underpaid and unfairly treated. No action or consideration being made even after staff highlight their needs on fair market wages. Repsol more keen to hire new people with higher salary rather than helping their own staff for a fair market salary range. 3) Management are not transparent in managing their business. 4) Management often make false promises to employee from top management until the department manager. 5) Toxic work environment. No motivation in department.

Pros

None, unless you are Spanish

Cons

Company run by their HR department which is talentless. Managers cannot make decisions, since the company culture is "find someone to blame".
