Pros

Free soft drinks for employees.

Cons

A corporate culture clash between Spanish management style and American staff. Some Spanish managers rarely spoke to their American employees. Instead of distributing news and information to everyone in inclusive team meetings, some of these same managers would communicate information to only a few of the staff (often the conversations were in Spanish) and then took for granted that the information would somehow get passed along to the rest of the team (which generally didn't happen). There were also incidences of a few employees (to be fair, none of them were Spanish) who hoarded technical information that should have been shared with everyone; I assume this was to impress their bosses with their technical knowledge . And there was a manager who harassed and mistreated the female staff; HR and senior management turned a blind eye for quite awhile, but fortunately he eventually left the company. But so as not to be entirely negative, did I mention the free soft drinks?

Pros

Flexible schedule, relaxed atmosphere, multi-cultural work force, strong 401(k), good medical benefits

Cons

Many incompetent folks making decisions. Reward is not based on the work that you perform. If you are a favorite of the management team, you can coast and be rewarded for it. Very secretive, even though one of the pillars is transparency. Corporate influence is suffocating at times.

Pros

- Trip abroad to learn Spanish - 401k

Cons

- Directors and managers do not speak Spanish at all and they don't mind to speak in Spanish in meetings (very RUDE staff!) - Bureaucracy - Arbitrary HR decisions... It seems its better to be a friend of the right person to get promoted rather than working hard. Not surprisingly the best workers usually do not last much in this office. - Career projection?
