Pros

Good pay and benefits including unlimited PTO

Cons

Their public handbook may suck you in but they don't follow their own values. I soon discovered that the head of sales left the month before I started but nobody would tell me why. A month later a new head of sales started and the head of my department left shortly after. Then came the hiring freeze announced shortly after raising 300 million dollars. Key people started "quitting" but we soon learned they were forced to do so. Lastly, there was the 10% reduction in force. These are not the actions of a company that brags about transparency.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Remote took every step to ensure we remain sustainable and efficient during the current economic crisis and we were transparent even when it was really hard, we are sad to see you did not experience this in your role. Our current attrition is 2.2%, which is well below industry averages, however we are continuously working on always improving our non-regretted attrition and keeping it low. Lastly, we take social engagement very seriously and building relationships is part of our core. We love talking about lego, shoes, pets and all things that matter to all our Remoters from a social and fun perspective and will always leave room for this.

Pros

Working remotely with nice coworkers are about the only perks of this company.

Cons

This company suffers from poor internal structure and a lack of clear direction. Processes are constantly changing, creating confusion and instability. There's a persistent fear of job insecurity due to frequent terminations, and the overwhelming workload leads to burnout. Hard work goes unrecognized, and instead of being rewarded, employees receive low performance ratings—seemingly as a way to prevent promotions or raises. I've never felt more unappreciated in a workplace. If you're considering working here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere."

Pros

Being able to live and work where you want

Cons

1. Really incompetent leadership - they have no idea what they're doing. Its amazing how many of the leaders are completely out of their depth and can repeatedly make everything worse each quarter. 2. Terrible work life balance - especially in all the customer facing roles. Dealing with all the customer complaints and terrible internal processes is why people are burning out at a spectacular rate, with no end in sight. 3. Awful compensation. Remote will milk you for all your worth. They don't care about any of their employees. They will do everything they can to make a few extra dollars off the back of the hard working people keeping the company afloat. A terrible strategy which has led to a decent short term gain with great margins, but awful for the long term which is why they are all scratching their heads and wondering whats going wrong.
