Pros

- intial salary package was good - was able to knock off on time usually - huge pantry, free cereal, yakult, often free lunches catered by HR (fancy office) - good location in CBD - good bonus and retrenchment package - i had an amazing boss and was the best i ever worked with.

Cons

- extreme micro management - they hate singaporeans and will never trust them - VERY particular about punctuality - upper management are in extreme denial and refuse to accept certain hard facts. Very stubborn and think they are the Rolls Royce of the ecommerce industry - heartless. Fired all 30 staff in Singapore within 2hours notice on the 5th day of Chinese New Year - treated only as an employee and chess piece that is controlled and moved about by the upper management and investors

Needs More Seasoned Tech Leaders

Pros

Great benefits, excellent people, CEO is a great guy, good work and personal life balance. Free lunch on Fridays and sometimes Monday's.

Cons

The people running tech, at no fault of their own, have no clue what they're doing. The CTO is in Britain not able to help. The leadership in the SLC office is a collective "shoulder shrug" when anyone has an issue that needs to be escalated. Most of the devs are junior. The systems team is 2 or 3 people (not nearly enough). And nothing seems to get done in tech. Just endless, pointless projects that don't make any money but cost a lot.
