Pros

Some employee are nice and smart... Work/life balance was very decent for my specific case (but I heard countless people complaining about that)

Cons

... But they end up leaving after 2 years and only the bad apples are left. Salary is way lower than the competition. Middle management has no human skills, they will lie to you directly, they talk a lot about internal opportunity but this is only if your manager let you change position, if they block you, there is nothing you can do. Englishnization is a joke, most japanese people here talk a terrible english The CEO is very arrogant and try to force respect but it just doesn't work Every tuesday you'll have to wake 1h30 earlier to listen to meaningless numbers during the company sharing meeting (asakai) They consider employee like children and create all sort of rules and procedures that you are supposed to respect You'll have countless meeting for nothing Overall bad management, bad salary, bad productivity

Pros

There are no Pros to working there

Cons

Management is completely lacking in business acumen, consumer awareness and leadership skills. They are either completely incompetent or they are intentionally running the company into the ground. Possibly both.

Lack of leadership!

Pros

Free lunches, benefits, nice offices

Cons

Japanese militaristic management which means management through fear and intimidation. This is NOT a modern US workplace with a sharing flat structure. It is top down and managed by Japanese account managers elevated to all C level positions including the CEO. Leadership is weak and only knows how to emulate their Japanese counterpart which doesn't seem to work in the US. Leadership knows little of the US market and competition which makes it difficult for this company to compete in the US. It's not a happy place to be especially for account managers or if you are female.
