They have now the Englishnization which makes the official language of company English.

Cons

I did not choose to work at Rakuten because the pay is rather a little lower than the standard pay across the industry.

Pros

Very good company culture, the new office is great, people are very friendly and its a great place to work at. Free breakfast, free lunch, free dinner and lots of other perks.

Cons

Approval processes are very lengthy and change (if not ordered by executives) usually takes a lot of time and effort. Also, much to many meetings, wasting valuable time of engineers.

Free Lunch with a wide variety of choices. Had an in house gym for employee to use.

Cons

Supposed to be English environment but mid management (i.e. those who are in the 40s) refuse to use English whenever CEO is not around.
