Pros

Good Benefits, PTO plan, Customer satisfaction practice have a higher-than-average customer loyalty

Cons

have lower-than-average employee loyalty old boy network no mentor no role model address the promotion and retention feel powerless to make complaints internally and therefore feel the need to seek outside counsel. HR cannot be trusted. Mid level management is very poor very poor recruitment practices for technical jobs Equal access to promotions with legitimate business reasons, such as tenure, experience or skills? Workforce environment is grapevine (rumor controlled)

Pros

- The benefits are terrific - Corporate management is with it, and is trying to modernize (socially, procedurally) the company (see cons)

Cons

- Middle management is entrenched in the 1950's (processes, values, expectations) and is stifling change - "Be creative" communications that start positive at the top corporate levels are changed to "obey" instructions by the time they percolate down through management layers

Pros

If you enjoy sitting at your desk killing time for months at a time, then this is the place for you. On several occasions, I asked co-workers "has anyone told you what we're suppose to be doing ?". The response was "No." Then, when something finally came down the line ... Read "Cons"

Cons

Very politically charged situation that has nothing to do with ability or accomplishments. If you brown nose then, even though you can't figure out why your C++ code won't compile on a Ada compiler, you can become a technical lead two years out of college. And if you do try to actually excel, you had better do it in less than 50 lines of code or your thick fix will set off an alarm and you'll be sent packing because you might jepordize the "truck load of money backing up to there door." And since Arizona is a "right to work" state, they can liable you and there is nothing that you can do about it. Where is 60 minutes when you need them.
