Pros

Great opportunity to meet different people with various experiences. For the most part, people are hard working. Due to working long hours, there is a flexibility in schedule available.

Cons

Not enough resources. if you don't work directly with a partner or manager, you don't grow and no coaching. It can get tiring after while. The engagements you are on can make a significant difference. Some are good some are awful. The best are selected based on who they work for and how well trained they are. I have met some best rated people that are truly exceptional, but the firm invests in them and then I meet people with potential but are not even given the opportunity.

Pros

Having PwC on your resume looks great. Having worked a few years for PwC is enough to get you that big job you have dreamed of. You will however have to give up a lot to get to that place. The question you have to ask yourself when considering PwC is: how far am I willing to go to be successful?

Cons

There is a tendency, at management level, to take credit for all the work that the seniors and associates do. The managers ends up getting a big bonus while the seniors get a pat on the back and a good appraisal. Management should know by now that the world that we live in has changed. Prices keep increasing. The world we live in revolves about money. A pat on the back is nice, but by far not good enough to reward staff.

Pros

Learning, learning and learning! You have plenty of opportunity to learn GAAP, FASB and all other accounting guidances by auditing various clients. Coaching is super emphasized in this firm. So one gets good coaching very often. Also you are encouraged to coach junior staffs through which you practise your coaching and management skill. The firm also provides many trainings to employees which keep you updated. In short, this is a place you can accelerate your career path.

Cons

Very poor work life balance in PwC. Although the firm always talk about it, no body can get really get it. Due to the high pressure of work, inter-personal relationships are difficult sometimes especially during busy season. Your senior or managers can be rude. Many new associates had experience of crying.....
