Poor salary for the amount of work (21+ get more, 18-21 get less and under 18 get the least for the same work) Awkward hours (most 6-10pm shifts are contracted on under 18s) Mess! Supervisors and Managers often put themselves above you. No extra pay, regardless of holidays or weekends - Christmas staff contracted to work boxing day with no extra pay Inconsiderate of students (shifts at unreasonable times) Fixed rotas Minimal holiday time and are very strict about letting people have a day off regardless of reasons A lot of staff slack and make one person do all the work No benefits or discounts Miserable and repetitive job Most customers are rude and unkind
