Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Career progression is a top priority for us. We have established regular growth and performance reviews between employees and managers, where goals are collaboratively set and reviewed. If you feel that your career progression is not aligning with your expectations, we encourage you to discuss this with your manager. As you’ll know, we have quarterly growth conversations which are specifically to discuss your career, development areas, and progress - you can also talk to your manager about the competency framework we have in Builders, and use this to identify the next career step for you/ Thanks for sharing your view on our benefits, we actively seek feedback from our employees through frequent surveys to understand their needs and preferences better and review our offering to keep in line with evolving needs. From last years survey, we refreshed the benefits we offer in all our locations, but if you have specific requests, please reach out to the People Team.

Pros

Many talented and caring people

Cons

Following up on my colleague's comment regarding the incoherency of our CEO I will give you my personal point of view because yes, there is a need to speak up!! I've been working with this company for over three years, initially drawn in by its supposed inclusive culture, where every person was welcomed, and political issues were left at home. However, this culture is far from inclusive. Right from the start, I was surprised by the lack of effort in areas that, in my view, are not political but simply the right thing to do. I've witnessed colleagues being silenced, their voices suppressed because their thoughts were seen as political, which I find absurd. What's political about advocating for equal opportunities for women in the company? Or supporting LGBTQ+ community? Or contributing positively to our society? It felt like censorship to me, but I thought perhaps the CEO's intention was to distance the company from societal issues for a reason superior to everything else—The Business. Despite my disagreement, I accepted this "no politics" policy, mainly because the people I work with are incredibly talented, kind, eager to grow, and supportive of one another. However, all of this changed in just three days. You might be wondering, how could a sense of belonging built over three years be destroyed in three days? Well, our CEO launched a social media propaganda campaign in support of the actions of Israel government is taking in the Middle East without thinking about the personal cases some of us might be going through due to this conflict I dare not to evaluate because of how complex it is (I’m not an expert in geopolitics). Although I understand this might be his personal opinion, It's not just when shared it using our company’s name on business social media. He bypassed his internal rules, exposing us workers to comments from friends, acquaintances, people in the industry, clients, and potential clients due to his aggressive discussion style. This company, once a space where diverse opinions weren’t valued, has now become an unsafe place even to disagree on any topic, especially now. Conversations with colleagues indicate that this is just the beginning of a rupture. It's disheartening that someone who emphasised the importance of company culture, hosted grand parties, encouraged us to work tirelessly for the company's development, and aimed for market leadership, has destroyed his credibility with many of us in just one week—yes, one week! Recently, a few leaders left the organisation, replaced in many people’s opinion by less experienced individuals with voices lower in dissent. Is this an attempt to surround the CEO with like-minded people who won't challenge his views? Just silence. I can only hope that those who have invested in us understand the need to establish boundaries and curb propagandistic comments that harm our company and our colleagues.

We appreciate your feedback and assure you it's taken seriously. Following up on our answer to your colleagues’ comment above, at TravelPerk, we prioritize fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Please understand that we do not endorse any personal views on social media, whether from the CEO, leadership or anyone else, as a company. We can only influence such to a certain extent outside of work. Our entire People Team is here to make sure you feel heard and supported, and you can reach out to them anytime. We also deeply care about topics such as equal opportunities for women in the workplace, LGBTQ+ or doing good for our communities. We support our Belonging Communities (such as PridePerk, Women@TK or Parents@TK) by providing event guidance, amplifying their initiatives through our internal platforms, and providing budget and executive-level backing. These communities provide a safe space to learn, share, and connect on causes you care about. In our Tech department, we actively support women in tech through initiatives like the TravelPerk Academy. Apart from this, we promote a meritocratic approach in hiring and key moments of development, like performance reviews, calibrations and promotions panels to ensure fairness. This ensures a diverse and inclusive organization where every individual can excel. We’re sorry you have felt instances like this were not the case, and please know that you can always reach out to the People team.
