Pros

- Good salary - Honest effort to improve the technical ecosystem - Good product - Flexibility - Stock options are often a gamble. I think in TK they are quite safe since growth is almost assured, which is why everyone buys them.

Cons

- A lot of legacy code - Backends are fullstacks, frontends are frontend (a bit hypocritical) - Very hard to get promoted - Fully remote is not an option - Too much focus on product sometimes leaves tech debt forgotten, hurting us in the long term.

Pros

Great people to work with. One of their core beliefs is “Don’t be an a*****e” and they’ve nailed that part of their recruitment down. They have a great coffee bar that has complimentary coffee between 8-3.

Cons

Salary/OTE was well below market rates. When queried to management, was told this was a conscious effort taken in covid times so not to lay people off. During interview process (SDR UKI - Outbound), I asked two different managers if the team hit quota, was told by both that the team regularly hits quota only to find out after starting that only inbound regularly hit quota, outbound rarely hit outside of ramping period. While they are a scale up, I found myself with 4 managers across 8 months. Felt like I was passed around without much care or attention. The UKI team was too large. While management quoted a large TAM, it was often the case of 20+ SDRs going after the same most opportunistic industries.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated your team and found our values aligned with your experience—especially the importance we place on creating a supportive and respectful work environment. We recognise your concerns regarding compensation, quota attainment, and management changes. While we continuously assess our compensation structures to ensure competitiveness, we regret any miscommunication during the interview process regarding most recent quota achievement. We’ll take your input to further enhance transparency and clarity moving forward. Your points on the growing SDR team size, account distribution, and outreach strategy are also well noted. We're committed to finding the right balance between personalisation and scalability, and your suggestions are invaluable as we work to optimise our portfolio approach. It’s unfortunate that you felt the management support wasn’t up to expectations at all times, and we’re reviewing our processes to ensure all team members feel supported, particularly around performance targets. In similar situations, we always encourage employees to reach out to their People Partners and Country Managers, as they’re always available to provide guidance and support. We truly appreciate the time you spent with us and your thoughtful insights. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors, and we hope you’ll continue to follow TravelPerk’s journey.
