Pros

- great opportunities to lead a global brand and learn about consumers' global needs and desires - big budgets afford using top quality partners and resources without cutting corners - Affords great learning and opportunity to lead interesting, high profile projects with implications for the future

Cons

- Highly, highly political, back stabbing environment - Management changes jobs like you change your underwear, creating a "not invented here" mentality and constant shifts in strategy - Company is constantly reinventing itself, so nothing is ever seen through, creating frustration across all functions and poor use of budgets - Frequently people are moved into roles for which they have no experience or training - Revolving door at the most senior level

Pros

Get free bags, Pepsico products, Brand Name. But is that all you are looking for to build your long career ?

Cons

This entire Pepsico office in Hyderabad is a sham ! They have hired more than 1000 people in last one year but these are all from BPOs of WNS or from Genpact. There are no fixed processes in place be it the hiring, onboarding or even the IT infra. Have spent more than a year at Pepsico now but you picj uo any team and 90% of the people are here just to mantain the excel sheets and update the data. All the analysis and mind bending work is done by the US teams. They would promise you some average or abobe average salary but you would end up spending almost 12 hours in frint of your system with no weekends and holidays left for you. They would just compensate you like beggars to work on weekends. If you want to apply for a vacation or a leave you need to take approvals from your manager atleast 3 weeks in advance. Feel lucky if you are not asked to vut short your vacation. A team mate was lucky enough to get a job jn another organization but it has been over two months for him begging for his F&F settlement. They have mo process in place and thus things going in circles. You are taught interpersonal skills. Like email writing, talking to US counterparts and even how to talk to your reporting manager US team members are amazing to interact with and they are helpful but the India leadership team is useless. Extremi hierarchical where you have to always just stick to your channel of communication for whatever thing. A BIG HYPE AROUND THIS PEPSICO HYDERABAD OFFICE HAS BEEN MADE. DO NOT FALL INTO THE TRAP
