Pros

A very organised and efficient company. From the start, there was a clear idea of the roles one was expected to fulfill. Everyone was helpful and encouraging.

Cons

Unpaid intern role. A lot of tasks to be done, fine to manage is one is able to prioritize. Fast-paced work culture can seem intimidating.

Pros

Working for Penguin Random House is a great achievement for any publishing professional. The company does its best to take care of you with free book offers, fitness reimbursements, and other discount plans.

Cons

As is the case in publishing everywhere, the pay is low and there are limited opportunities to move up.

Pros

Great compensation for education and fitness. Family-friendly: there are a lot of benefits that extend to children and dependents.

Cons

Current health insurance is lackluster. Not enough incentives in fitness programs to encourage employees to stay fit. [i.e. points for working out that turn into gift cards or lowered health insurance costs].
