Pros

Great company I have a lot of respect for the industry and the lengths they go to to create transparency and operate in a respectable way. Great utilization of technology.

Cons

Not very rewarding. The pay is very low for Maryland so skilled driven coworkers and team members are hard to find.

Pros

Great people, environment and one of the best benefits and vacation packages around. Working on some of the best titles and paid sabbaticals are amazing perks.

Cons

Career advancement can be slow and uncertain (my experience) but other depts seem to regularly promote.

Pros

I worked on the Penguin side of the company before the merger. The products were consistently good quality, even if they weren't always successful. We were held to high standards, which were well worth it. Any time that customers had issues, we worked together to correct the problem. There was a lot of cooperation in that effort. Culture was okay, with some overly competitive types, but mostly collaborative personalities. Pay and benefits were a little low, but more or less competitive in the marketplace.

Cons

As with anywhere, budget cuts come along, and management is not at its best, hogging the life preserver for themselves, so as cuts played out, the company became even more top-heavy than necessary, and appears to still be that way, after the merger.
