Pros

WAS an excellent company to work for. Decent salaries, reasonably priced insurance plans, casual environment.

Cons

Too much change over past 8-9 years, several reorganizations, wholesale position eliminations, low morale

Pros

Company had a long history of "brave, imaginative, decent" activity. Product Development always worked hard but created top notch curriculum materials that made us proud. Team atmosphere; people who are continue to strive for the best.

Cons

Recent changes in leadership have forced a vendor system. Time to market is more important than anything else. Quality suffers. Hard to feel successful when you can't do your job well. No bonuses; poor communication.

Pros

It was at one time--before John Fallon became CEO--a wonderful place to work with rewarding work creating high quality educational books and other content, with intelligent and creative colleagues while turning a nice profit.

Cons

The company has lost its vision, claiming to be a media company with no tangible plans to make that happen. Eliminating staff, reorganizing in a sloppy way, and rebranding does not contribute to a better product or make Pearson a media company.
