Pros

I've worked for 5 sales organizations and Pearson, hands down, is by far the most decent company that I have been associated with. They truly do put the students at the top of the priority list. They care about their employees deeply. It is by no means perfect, but I can the people at Pearson, all the way to the top, are nothing but decent. The CEO not only will not blow you off, he makes it a point to spend time with you at National Meetings. At the last National Meeting, they asked all family members that work for the company to come to the stage: there were over 100 people on stage. I would recommend my friends to work for Pearson.

Cons

During the busiest selling seasons, you will work long hours. The hours are rewarding, but you will work very hard and work long hours. You are rewarded for this work with a bonus if you hit your quota at the end of the year.

Pros

Pearson is a fast-paced learning company that has endless career possibilities. They provide excellent training to new employees and equip them with everything they need in order to succeed. Great work-life balance! Most importantly, management is encouraging and supportive WITHOUT micromanaging. Although the industry in transforming, Pearson is far ahead of the digital curve.

Cons

The interview process is extremely difficult. There may be 6 interviews that could span months. If you are not clearly talented, don't even apply. Very long hours during the selling season.

People ask me all the time, why Pearson? Its simple, we are three years ahead of our competition and its not even close. Our products work and it is proven. We are an efficacy based company not just based on product but on people. Beyond that, Pearson offers a ton of opportunities for advancement upon your success.

Cons

The only challenges of working at Pearson lie within the publishing industry as a whole. We need to continue to evolve and adapt, everyday.
