Pros
You can find your niche and if you do a good job you probably won't have to worry about layoffs. Depending on group the work can be interesting. Since there is stability you won't encounter the politics and back stabbing that often arise at "hire and fire" companies. If you are willing to stand out and do above average work and show commitment (working late when needed) you will get a raise. Very liberal with working from home. Above average insurance benefits.
Cons
401K match is kind of weak. Paid time off is very below average. While salary ranges look good, most are paid below the midrange for their grade.
