I’m sorry to hear you feel this way about the salary, we do regularly review our starting salary against the market to ensure we always remain competitive. Recently, we increased the starting salary in Leicester to align with this and will continue to check this quarterly. Additionally, we have a clear structure outlining how you can progress to the next pay level. I can see that you have been with us less than a year and the next steps for yourself would be achieving the grade (if not done so already) and then achieving points via Skills academy or superstar uplifts. Please reach out to your team leader or operations manager to discuss this further as this is personal to yourself.
We’re deeply concerned to hear your comments about ageism. We strive to create a culture of inclusion and respect, where everyone feels valued—regardless of age, background, or experience level. If there are instances where this standard has not been upheld, we take that very seriously. We encourage anyone who has experienced or witnessed behaviour that does not align with our values to report it to management and we will look into it further from there.
We really believe in making sure we’re doing the best by our customers and our employees. We do really pride ourselves on cultivating a welcoming and friendly environment for all, therefore it is really sad to hear this is not the case for yourself.
