Pros
The best thing about octopus is that you’re surrounded by many different personalities , no one is expected to fit in a box. People care about the jobs they do and will go out of their way to help each other out. A company that is genuinely flexible rather than just saying they are, can be in the office as much or as little as you like, it’s never an issue if you need to attend an appointment / take some time out for any reason. It doesn’t feel as though there is any hierarchy, you’ll often see Greg in the office smiling and holding open doors, senior management are down to earth and open to conversation. Family dinner, a chaotic but fun way you get to keep up to date on everything going on within the business
Cons
Sometimes the great people can be a downfall. It can be tough to bring up concerns you may have about the job / business. No standard annual pay reviews or structure. Not everyone is comfortable asking for a pay review
