      Hey there, thanks for taking the time to leave your review. Whilst I'm pleased that you feel positive about your pay and the teams around you, it's a shame to see your feedback on progression. There are lots of opportunities for our people to develop, however, development is not always linear and perhaps more unorthodox than traditional businesses . We have intentionally avoided frameworks -where we can- to allow people the opportunity to develop in areas they are genuinely interested in. Whilst most people here are happy with this, we do understand this style of work is not for everyone.       There is absolutely no chance of getting a pay rise, the salaries are so scuffed at Octopus. There are people who are somehow earning much more than people who actually put in the effort. When you finally qualify for a pay rise, you’ll get turned down because somehow they’ve now added a further 5 criteria without telling you. There are constant excuses to not give you a pay rise, oh but they won’t hesitate to order lunch in for your team every week. Free lunch doesn’t pay my bills.

I’m sorry to hear you feel stagnant in your pay progression, we know how important feeling valued and appropriately rewarded is and it’s key we get it right. We have done a lot of work over the last few years when it comes to our teams’ progression and development to make this as clear and transparent as possible but if this is not the case for you then we’d love to have the opportunity to improve here!
