      High potential company, undergoing aggressive change

      Pros

      OPSWAT is a product company, which means that it's selling its own products to customers. Usually, the engineering teams are pretty autonomous and are given free rein over what technologies to use on projects.

      Cons

      Company is going through serious growing pains while trying to define its identity. There is this lingering feeling of uncertainty permeating through each project. It's also pretty aggressive with layoffs, whether due to performance or monetary aspects.

      Great company to work for

      Pros

      I have found OPSWAT to be a great company and a great fit for me. My talents lie in the design/development of large scale products. The company is very respectful of my time and goes out of their way to let me do what I do best. I work with a small team which is perfect for me. The pay and benefits are great.

      Cons

      Really there's nothing I can complain about.

      - Good salary compared to other local alternatives - Proprietary products vs other local companies which only do outsourcing - Good benefits: yearly bonus and expense claims

      Cons

      - No parking - More stressful than other local alternatives but typically higher salary
