Pros

- Helpful, nice, dedicated employees. - Awesome managers (for the most part) - Great benefits system (500k HUF cafeteria, car benefit or cash compensation above job grade 10,etc.). - Good yearly bonus system. - Employees are looked after, great attention to mental health, personal support services. - Multiple opportunities within the company. - Varied home office contracts, and you get payed extra if you work from home. - Great Finnish mentality across the globe, - Truly diverse and multicultural company.

Cons

- Poor employee retention capabilities for managers (e.g.: one time increase limit is 10% in Hungary), - Salaries are not matching job market, competitors give higher salary. - You initially have to negotiate a good salary for yourself, otherwise you'll be stuck with it, and you'll only get yearly inflation compensation. - You have to switch to a higher job grade position to (somewhat meaningfully) increase your base salary. Car benefit cash compensation at JG10 or above can help to increase income (if you don't need the car).

Pros

- amazing place to have kids/enjoy work-life balance if you can put up with the bs, - friendly colleagues, good culture, - good software practices cultivated, - some of the tasks I carried out there were very interesting and I learnt a lot from them;

Cons

- the Process is God in this company, - expect to spend most of the time writing tests in a proprietary language, - my manager had almost thirty people under him, expect little to no contact, 1in90 meetings happened once a year and my impression is they happened to check this item off some checklist, (though accounting for so many people under him, my manager did really well, very relaxed, no micromanaging), - expect checking off upper management checklists and caring about pointless statistics, - I found a lot of my work too repetitive, - Huge (capital 'H') amount of domain knowledge necessary. Non-transferable, unless you want to jump to competition, - At the end of my time there the CI infrastructure was not performant/malfunctioning to the point of seriously slowing down development (and just being a pain overall) - Company motto used to be "Connecting People", but the message from the upper management was constantly: "Regaining/Maintaining the leadership in our domain!" It does feel like the vision died and now it's about money and being better than competition which is just sad.
