      Great product-market fit, will not realize full potential

      Pros

      Late stage startup, low risk of not IPO'ing Good folks to work with in some pockets (look for the right one)

      Cons

      CEO is a product/sales/marketing guy - hence great product fit. Engineering org setup as 2 verticals and against each other which leads to VERY VERY high amount of politics for a pre-IPO company - good look getting something done in reasonable time. Poor leadership in one engineering vertical who say all the right things and that's about it - no doing. Heavy dilution, low option grants and insulting refreshers - years of waiting for IPO may not pay off.

      Pros

      I have been working at Netskope Engineering for over 2 years now. It's been the most thrilling growth story I have experienced first hand. Proud of most of my colleagues. Management has a nice way of ensuring everyone feels like it's their family. I have never seen as much productivity and as much extra curricular fun in a single place before. Fantastic cash flow and big name customers. Most folks have a good idea of the exact impact they have on business which seems to be the motivating factor for most. Unlimited PTO - Yes, really. Not that you will feel like taking more than a few days a year.

      Cons

      1. Open office may not be for everyone. 2. You need to know how to pace yourself or else it is very easy to take on a lot of work and burn yourself (at the same time, I have never been forced to take on more than what I'm comfortable with).

      Cons

      manager just gave up on employee; most focus on just traveling and abusing the full remote; HR is repressive; employees some of the worst professionals you can find in silicon valley.
