Pros

Very secure job, get to have your pick of places to work at, career development options are good, meeting a variety of people on a daily basis, feeling like you're making a difference, some staff are very friendly.

Cons

Chronically understaffed, underfunded, culture of bullying in the workplace, hard to have a good work-life balance with the hours and shift work, bad pay, having to work past the end of your shift often, too much paperwork, abusive patients and visitors, sometimes not having time to take a toilet break for your whole shift due to being so busy and not enough staff available.
