Pros

Good benefits - sick pay, maternity leave and pension

Cons

Under paid and under valued. Poor staffing levels and always working in unsafe conditions. Take full advantage of their staff, getting paid a basic wage whilst doing the job of a doctor!

Pros

The belief that we are all working to improve the NHS experience for everyone. We are all focused on the best outcomes. People are supportive, and training is available to help one develop skills. If staff have problems (eg family) then there is the flexibility to take time off to deal with this.

Cons

Too many meetings without real actions following out of them. Too much writing of papers rather than trying to really think about issues, problems and solutions. Too much process.

Pros

Good pension although that is getting less and less

Cons

Only get further if face fits not if you can actually do the job. This is why too many people are in the wrong jobs for their skills. Would not recommend anyone to join the NHS as it is a knee jerk reaction company now instead of looking at the big picture which means so much money is wasted.
