Pros

Salary is better than most previous jobs I've had. Good starting point if you want a foot in the door to the NHS for a different career. Management have been very understanding of me needing time off for my long term health problems and helping manage those at work.

Cons

High pressure. Not all those you help are grateful for the help. Long hours/shift work so hard to get a work life balance on work days.

Pros

uniform, basic training, part time

Cons

If you relish staff who tittle tattle and tell tales rock on! being treated as if you're stupid, being undermined constantly and generally feeling like you don't belong....this job is for you

Pros

Treats rich and poor equally. On average, it is better than other healthcare systems. Free at the point of care. Relatively new equipment on average.

Cons

Overall, there are fewer opportunities for ethnic minorities when compared to the local population. Minorities are treated harshly and often made scapegoats.
