Pros

Decent benefits and paid time off. I would say it's standard to other companies I've been with in the past. Typical corporate America benefits.

Cons

If you take time off, management makes you pay the price. Also, the management does not know how to manage in my area. They are unsupportive. They are quick to discard their most productive employees.

Pros

Great benefits and more than adequate PTO days. Very relaxed environment where micromanagement was minimal.

Cons

Became obvious Charlotte was not a place for career growth. MetLife is selling off large portions of its retail/annuity business. The companies that bought their books of business are/will be doing layoffs after acquisition of those sold departments, so MetLife gets to keep its tax breaks in NC.

Pros

Competitive compensation. At face value the company pays well but it could be a lot better. Freedom. In this position you will not have someone hounding you about time at your desk. It definitely is a plus.

Cons

Case loads are overwhelming. this department needs to hire more qualified individuals. It seems like the company is trying to do more with less. This just makes the day to day harder to handle. Work life balance is a joke.
