Pros

None except you can learn 10x slower than every other investment firm. The old metlife saying is what ever you learn at MetLife in your first 3 years is what others learn in 3 months.

Cons

The firm has no job security, expect a promotion only when people retire. With the recent restructuring it’s gotten even worse with everyone afraid of their jobs. Do not join a burning ship - and find a stable firm with people that care about you!

Pros

Unemployed? Need a job ASAP? Beats being unemployed......but just barely.

Cons

Absolutely no training, Company invest absolutely nothing in your success. Can't keep production numbers correctly, can't pay commissions correctly. Changes a 4 year signed contract in year #2 Causing me to suffer a 33% annual pay cut. Citrix system is down at least weekly so you spend countless time on the phone with the help desk. Nothing and I mean nothing here reminds me of a well oiled insurance company. After the screwing on the contract change I will make what I made in this business over 20 years ago and was only working 4 days a week at that time. I spend hours now having to go behind them just to make sure my commissions are correct. This company care absolutely nothing about it's agents. When all of my concerns are brought up to three different levels of management the response is basically" we are sorry but it is what it is"

Pros

There are some prons but they get totally OVERSHADOWED by the huge CONS of this organisation

Cons

Management expect you to die for them, your rating gets hampered if you get hospitalised or someone dies at your home, you have to inform of these things too in advance, renumeration and recognition is a big time challenge, we are fake promised on a daily basis that we are working on it to raise the complexity or renumeration of your process and it will happen shortly and enormous workload is added. I am afraid someday they will even make us wear bangles and make us dance saying that we can ask of you anything within your working hours. Toxic team huddles are our daily dose, employees are thrashed on a daily basis, the higher the managerial position, the worse is the person. You can feel the greed in the eyes of management and you will never feel your concerns are addressed. They tell you to reach out to them freely because they will win, turn it into an argument, misuse their managerial power, and finally you will leave understanding that there is no point banging your head on a wall. Another corrupted policy which if followed here is the forced rating system of associate population. No matter if a team has performed tremendously, but there HAS to be at least ONE poor lad who is forcely rated as an unsatsifactory employee of the month, because hey, it's our policy and we can't do anything! I am afraid I may commit a suicide here someday shortly with the ongoing circumstances..
