Strong brand recognition and a respected corporate leader.

Cons

The Reverse Mortgage division was not part of the core business and as a result of the financial reform bill it needed to be removed from the company.

-good office building location (47/48 st and Park Ave) -easy commute

Cons

You do not get paid until you get licensed. There is very limited training and they do not set their younger employees up for success. Very high turnover ratio, saw up to 10 new faces in my first six months. Upper management wants you to cold call all day to make money at your expense. There is supposed to be reimbursement for these employees once they are licensed but that doesn't always happen. Overall, despite the name "MetLife," I would stay away from this company.

Big name company, lots of commercials, many people are already similar with the company and its products

Cons

They make you write lists of everyone you know and then you have to call them and schedule meetings and you have to do it all yourself with little guidance
