Pros

Company brand, great reputation. Excellent benefits. Global. Flexible work schedules. Opportunity to work from home.

Cons

Turnover. Going thru a lot of change/transformation. A lot of downsizing. Hard to move into management. Not enough being done to retain/bring in diverse talent. More about who you know.

Pros

Management was very caring and understanding. Whenever we voiced that additional training was needed, management listened. We always knew we were a team and that it took the entire team to get our jobs done which we were able to succeed every single day. Everyone got along which made me enjoy coming to work each and every day.

Cons

Management changed during the latter part of my employment, management changed. Our bonus structure changed which boost the morale within the entire office. MetLife Home Loans became a great place to work. The employees had a voice within the company and management made sure we were all happy coming to work every day.

Pros

Excellent corporate culture, and you're selling the best financial and insurance products in the world. There's a ton of support, and if you're willing to work hard, there are ways to stay head-above-water after the trial base salary wears off (which is like 6 months in). Residual income from a book of business is a very real possibility, which can start essentially being enough to live on after a dozen or so sales.

Cons

The job is almost exclusively commission, which can certainly be daunting. Met is also undergoing a bit of a philosophy change currently, so a lot of the old guard is changing, and this can be an intimidating time in anyone's career.
