      Pros

      Merge is an absolute rocket ship that is hard to fully appreciate. It is so rare to have two incredibly driven founders that are able to establish a culture of accountability AND kindness. You're able to make a true impact and take ownership of your own work and projects. The team is without a doubt the best part of the company. Everyone here buys into the mission and is always willing to offer a helping hand. More so than that, forming meaningful connections and friendships has been the most rewarding part of the role.

      Cons

      If you're looking for a cushy tech job to coast, look elsewhere. Being a lean startup, having to wear multiple hats is a necessity. Work-life balance is definitely NOT an emphasis at the company. Weekend work is rare, but the hours can be brutal to those expecting a traditional 9-5. It's common to see people working 50-60 hour work weeks.

      - Highly positive culture - Massive learning opportunities across the entire tech stack - Get to interact with all teams, including those outside of EPD, like sales, marketing, and recruiting

      Cons

      - Not necessarily a con, but we work hard. We have fun doing it, and it gives me a lot of confidence that our equity will grow a ton. If you are looking for FAANG 10am-4pms, this isn't the place for you.

      - Culture! Merge employees are incredibly smart, positive, and passionate. They care so much about the product, company, and each other, which is incredibly energizing - Clear product-market fit solving a critical pain-point - Plenty of runway from a recent Series B raise

      Cons

      - Typical growing pains from growing so quickly - currently working to address process gaps that are necessary at current scale - In-person office mandate is not for everyone. Company is flexible with some remote days and views being in person as a competitive advantage to moving faster, but provides less flexibility than other companies
