Going from bad to worse

Pros

+ Flexi work arrangement, WFH on Fridays + RSU + Plenty of really great people to work with

Cons

- Company as a whole keeps changing direction, resulting in projects getting delayed / poorly executed. - Finger-pointing is rampant when there's delay to the project schedules. - Program managers are aplenty. Some speak so loud as if there's arguments daily on the floow. - People managers hired to take on technical role. Some can be clueless in the technical aspect.

Incompetent top management

Pros

Very interesting technical projects, with many highly skilled engineers

Cons

Top management is highly incompetent - as you can see from the stock prices. They do not know how to delegate, how to trust and appreciate the many experts they have in their teams. They have grown up from startup and still pride themselves to be the best engineers and slow down all the projects. They are not able to isolate the big picture to make fast decision on projects. The organisational structure is a total mess. Only one guys decides , the ceo who obviously has an inflated ego and know-it-all, but contradicts himself from review to review, just thinking that shouting at people and calling them stupid will help . No maturity to run a bigger corporation. should have stayed in their garage to design their PLLs.

Pros

Financial stability. Could be a good learning place for younger engineers, if mentored.

Cons

No obvious career or monetary upside. Company was never known for its generosity towards chip designers. No obvious market focus. It seems leadership avoids market segments that are very competitive.
