Pros

- Intelligent well informed peers and Managers

Cons

Worst company. Layoff left and right. They laid a complete Geo and came to Chennai and said, dont worry, we need you guys. Many of use feared we would be laid off. But they assured us that we are important to them. We trusted them and did not look for any other openings. Each time the company's stock went down, they came back and said "Dont worry, we will do good next year". They kept feeding us lies and made us stay and not look for any other opportunities. Now, all of a sudden, they layed off entire Chennai branch. Around 100 people lost their job. 100 dreams shattered. That might be your story too if you join this company.

Pros

Free coffee/tea and biscuits. Plenty of recreational facilities on-prem. Visionary and bold top local leadership (although succumbing to pressure from HQ at times). Promotions are based on merits and not seniority.

Cons

I don't even know where to begin, but for a start, the work culture here can be borderline toxic and demoralizing. People-pleasing manager with almost zero technical skills. Manager stealing credits when things go right, but subordinates made culpable when things go south. Manager feigning ignorance in meetings or during technical discussions. Manager being passive-aggressive (in words and actions) and manipulative, with the intention of instilling fear and siloing the team. Personal growth can be stagnant because you're always busy firefighting, leaving little to no time for personal upskilling.
