Pros

Really interesting work to do, friendly staff all around, great values. Good pay, terrific benefits, a commitment to continued education. Zero drama environment where everyone tries really hard to get along. This company is doing good in the world for sure. Customers are treated very well and the products they produce help keep the world safer. Really positive environment socially and ethically.

Cons

Very poor communication between management levels if you are remote. I have been moved to and from teams without my immediate manager having any idea (and with each move being a surprise to me as well). I've occasionally been left with little or no work to do and have had to approach managers for more work. I'm often left in the dark as far as project roadmaps are concerned. There are rarely plans in place for team moves or new projects and most of it is done off the hip. If any plan exists, it's not communicated to developers very well before acting. Often project management is carried out loosely with shifting requirements and scope creep being serious problems.
