Pros

Lets you have real world Sales Work Experience without cold-calling or generating your own leads. Nice to learn skills and be part of a team. EEO, does not discriminate. Recommended only if you had no work experience at all. Guaranteed minimum wage, which means low, but stable income which is more reliable than only tips-or-commission-based compensation.

Cons

No benefits, no opportunities for promotion or career advancement. Unpredictable hours. Very temporary level, absolutely not a career move.

Plenty of shifts available and schedules are flexible.

Cons

Little to no training or guidance for seasonal employees. You're thrown on the floor and have to figure out almost everything on your own.
