Pros

Working at MAPFRE Insurance , has being and great experience so far I have been working at MAPFRE Insurance for about 7 months . And is nothing compare to the other job I had. At MAPFRE Insurance we really help the our costumers, they have option to get there problem solve. What I Love about this company is the great benefits the company offers, for instance the PTO and Sick time are combine, if you request some PTO you get them approved fast. Pay holidays , flexible hrs. Your phone calls are monitor but they help you do better for the next call , and they provide feedbacks that really help you. And the company makes sure you have all the tools to help the costumer it makes it easier to do your job.. People are very friendly.

Cons

Well the only inconvenience is that we can not recommend this job to any close relative.

Pros

Great location, away from all the hub-bub of a large city. Free parking. Most employees are friendly and management, for the most part, is competent and knowledgeable in the insurance industry. PTO days in lieu of vacation/sick days - this is great for individuals who do not call in sick because all that time can be used for planned time off.

Cons

There is a lot of favoritism - same individuals are pulled for committee's and projects because they are friends with higher ups, which isn't fair for others who want to advance their career and need these committee's/projects in order to do so. New rule installed since the take-over - no nepotism now. This company was built by a family and there is a lot of family which works here together, however, now new family members are not allowed to apply.

Thank you for your review! It sounds like you enjoy working here but still have some concerns. After the nepotism policy was introduced, it was an adjustment for all employees. However, not every family member is ineligible for hire and the policy might not be as restrictive as many may believe. Please consider calling HR to discuss the policy and how you might refer those who are eligible under the current policy.

Pros

Vacation time is exellent (20 days plus 11 paid compand holidays and 2 floating holidays). Office hours are excellent (8-4:30PM). Our office has nice amenities like free filtered water (hot and cold), free Keurig coffee as well as free traditional coffee maker (that can do capaccino and hot chocolate as well), and a large cafeteria with several TVs (although it only shows CNN), and a separate kitchen with microwaves and a toaster oven and two refrigerators to store your lunch and other foods. Also, there are plastic plates, forks, spoons and knives available as well. Nice work environment, friendly co-workers and good location for office in terms of access to major highways and roadways.

Cons

Communicaton between upper level management and the employees could definitely improve.
