Pros

Not many except for the regular workers. PTO time ok.

Cons

Too many to mention. Need to shake up Senior Management. They have no idea how to run operations outside of Mass. They sit in their offices making bad decisions, delivering poor results and face no consequences. They blame the people on the floor for their poor planning and decisions. This company can't compete with competition for employee benefits. No bonus plan, job descriptions that don't match responsibilities and below average pay.

Thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts. We always encourage employees to talk directly with their manager if they have concerns regarding business decisions. Your ideas are welcomed and appreciated, so be sure to gather your insights and share those with your manager as well. Opening a dialogue with your leaders is an effective way to ensure that everyone understands the current vision and goals of your department as they relate to the overall corporate objectives.

Pros

Nice facility. Some good co-workers. Basically 9-5 hours.

Cons

Garden City legal office is a nightmare. Rampant favoritism and unequal treatment. Ridiculous workload. Toxic and tense work environment. Constant pressure to attend excruciating company functions. The day I finally quit felt like I had been released from prison.

Pros

- Individual contributors are all good people trying to get through it. - Tons of vacation (good luck disconnecting). - Travel and parking is easy. - Still can see some remnants of a great place to work.

Cons

- Every new idea is the best idea until it’s not. Anyone with enough time on their hands can read a white paper and present it as the next best thing. And ultimately some action or stupid process usually arises from it. That is until the next raising star comes with yet another LinkedIn, Forbes, or ... an otherwise unproven bunch of jibberish and we change direction again. - Spanish influence, smart enough people but the ego is too large to hear truth or direction from people that actually might know a thing or two. This causes constant priority changes until everything is #1 priority. Pushed out the old guard and now what your guessing and spinning out of control. FACT - see policy count erosion for your reality check. - HR on steroids, has been one of the single most destructive forces in the company over the last three years. With an eye for younger and prettier "talent", This is the place to go to be promoted into some of the hardest/highest titles to get and having almost no direct reports. Not to mention so much of the pointless process for change. – FACT - See employee erosion for your reality check. Also, to keep repeating “those are the people we wanted to leave” just is laughable now.
