Pros

The only real pro working in the Auto Claims Resolution role is if you ever leave the company you have been through boot camp so any other claims job is easy.

Cons

100 plus active claims. No overtime to address customers needs. In 2019 at least 5 upper management quit and every week expect to see an email two-three people quit or get let go. High expectations and heavy heavy workload. Everyone is in zombie mode due to stress and unreasonable deadlines. 6-10 new claims a day, 15 plus voicemails, Email responses and text messages are also a metric.

Pros

Decent pay and good benefits.

Cons

This is an old-fashioned company that says it wants change, employee engagement, etc. - all the right words. But in fact every management process is designed to control employees and prevent independent thought as much as possible. I found it a mean-spirited environment. There was always a sense that you were only as good as your last mistake, and they could always hire someone better than you. The only way to succeed was to keep your head down, yes your boss on everything, and make sure to keep a CYA file. One of the worst places in the Boston area to work.

Pros

There are no pros to working at Liberty Mutual

Cons

Workload is stressful! New metrics are made every month making it harder to complete assigned task. Employees are treated as robots and not humans. Flexible time off is not flexible time off. 37.5 work week turns into 45-50 and we’re not paid after the 40 per week cap. Upper management only concern is becoming top 3 insurance carrier. Multiple employees take medical leaves due to stress and once they return they are fired 2 weeks later.
