Spiraling out of control

Pros

Competitive starting comp Hey, we have free coffee. The CEO reminds us all the time. Flexible work arrangements (if you have a boss who abides by corp policies)

Cons

Culture is rotting, and it starts at the top. It's a very white male world at the top. Profits dissolving. So are benefits. Major expense issues = inability to invest in people and development Constant restructuring creates anxiety, confusion, delays and of course...layoffs (and don't worry, there are many coming) Many senior managers who got to where they are throwing elbows and churning &a burning through resources (i.e. humans)---I have witnessed bullying, cheating and lying Home office treats Field front line employees (those doing the real work, talking and trying to help our customers) as commoditized resources Slow slow slow...incredible bureaucracy Multiple identity crises...dinosaur insurance company trying to a cutting edge tech company

The people who work at the company are very dedicated and work super hard. They are highly educated as well.

Cons

The culture is becoming very selective and elitist. There are several biases that prohibit career growth and innovation.

Major Churn in IT

Pros

Generous pay, good work life balance

Cons

Limited advancement opportunities for anyone outside of the Seacost/Boston area. "Digital Transformation"is driven by leaders with old-school thinking. The culture is extremely top-down which has created a divide between leadership and their people..
