Pros

-Great Pay -Free coffee -Friendly managers -Flexible work hours -Fancy building -hired a lot of people; hopefully the workload goes down

Cons

-no work life balance at all -work from home; many people continue to work at home.. -i go to bed with my laptop;not ideal -It is shifting to a call center -people don't last more than 2 years -10 years into my professional career, this job is easily the most stressful job of my life. All they care about is money and being top three. Upper management doesn't have claims experiences so dont expect empathy or grace.

Pros

Pay would appear decent unless you actually know what your getting yourself into. The people/workers (outside of management and senior mgmt) are wonderful. I say workers bc these are the actual people that work and represent the company, not the execs who give orders and go to meetings all day.

Cons

One of the core principals is integrity, however, actions speak louder than words and it is clear this is simply for show. Work life balance is supposed to be something they focus on. Yet the majority of people in my department work substantially over there salaried hours based on the unrealistic work load. They pay you to work 37.5 hours yet give you minimum 50 hours of work each week. Raises and bonuses. A real joke. Politics and nepotism. If you fall into one of these categories, your bonus and raise may actually be decent. Ever since Geico execs entered, there is all of a sudden no budget for feeding the department from time to time. This would not be a big deal if they expected you to work normal hours, not the 10 to 20 free hours most people give each week. All while the CEO gets millions for his bonus alone...

Pros

Compensation is in line with other insurance companies in the area

Cons

The company seems to be in trouble financially and there have been a lot of cutbacks that effect the employees directly so that the CEO and upper management can continue to pay themselves large bonuses, raises and not to mention multi million dollar office renovations. They used to be customer focused. Now every claim is paid at the bare minimum and regulations don’t seem to be of any importance anymore
