Where do I begin?
- The leadership hasn't figured out it's a mutual company and that expense ratios are real. 86 the jets, stop giving out useless swag, get rid of programs that have "scheduled" promotions.
- Managers have 0 clue how to manage. Leaderships believes in trickle-down leadership. For some reason they believe that if they put their grade 21's through training, it will some how pass on to their lower managers. Also, their in house management program is a flop.
- There is an "in" crowd. It'll take you about 3 months before you realize that you can climb that corporate ladder with some well placed friends and choice words. If you want to advance, figure out how to take credit for other people's work and make really pretty Power Point slides.
- If you stay too long, your skills won't transfer.
- If you want to work in a place where you can get "comfortable", and be convinced that you're brilliant, this place is for you. You often hear a manager should hire people smarter than themselves. That definitely doesn't happen at Lib.
