Pros

The only pro is the pay is good but not worth it at the end of the day.

Cons

They overload you with claims and expect you to keep a work life balance yet highly recommend working on weekends to make sure you don’t get behind. The managers are not as available as they should be, they seem to always be busy in meetings.

Pros

Pay is average compared to other carriers

Cons

No family / life balance Systems are confusingly difficult Estimating system is sub par to what other carriers are using Team managers hate their jobs and this trickles down to micromanagement and way too much oversight Very metrics driven audit process Management does not care about customer service until they receive a complaint from the customer or their agent

Pros

Pay is good for a non-tech company. Everyone is nice. I never work overtime. 100% remote. Lots of room to move up(con of too many high positions not doing anything). Tech stack can be fairly modern. Access to development tools is much easier than other Fortune 100 companies I've been at. Easy to look smart and they don't expect an unreal amount out of you. Managers I've worked with have all taken my input as a professional and not pushed back. Match 401k and pension after a few years. Lots of random choice benefits.

Cons

Out of pocket for insurance is too high for a family, even the new one for 2023. I also would love a wellness incentive, like money off insurance for not smoking or proving you do 150 minutes of exercise a week, or a stipend for gym/peloton/something like that. Interview process took months. Insurance can be a dry product to work on and tons of info is stored in team members' heads. Too many directors of "who knows" on the business side working with tech that could just be business analysts or something similar embedded on the team. They vocally embrace diversity and inclusion, but 90% of people are white dudes, I think that has to do with being based out of New England where that is what most people are.
